Student is such a person who is gaining any sort of knowledge from authorized institution( school, college, university etcetera. In other words, any person affiliated with a recognized authority to enhance his/her knowledge, skill, attitude, behavior and morals is called a student. Primarily, a child achieves discipline and knowledge from home and parents grant a typical culture to them. Then s/he becomes a formal student on going to school. A disciplined student is the enlightened future and an able citizen of a nation. Discipline has been defined as " the personal rule that helps a person in easy socialization. Some define it as " A method of training your mind and body in order to control your behavior and is based on- reward and punishment- theory as per the deeds.
Student life has been termed as the golden period of one's life. The determination of one's future solely depends upon primary and secondary level education. But, unfortunately the educational policy of our country doesn't pay much attention to primary level teaching. A student who is hygienic, attempts all assignments, obeys teachers, respects elders, assists juniors and studies sincerely is termed a disciplined student. Disciplined students are the pillars of tomorrow and have the potential to alter the condition of nation. Those who break all the rules and regulations are just a burden for forthcoming development.
Great scientists like Michael Faraday, Charles Darwin maintained discipline during the student life. A student must be creative, innovative and curious.Sir Isaac Newton was so anxious of falling of apple from a tree since student life. Later , he found it to be the effect of gravity. Sir Albert Einstein was just 26 , when he proposed the Theory Of Relativity. This is all possible due to the dedication towards studies during student life.
Each and every person has his/her religion Every religion aware students about the maintenance of discipline. 'Never say false things, be good to others, take an aim for life, care for your mother and motherland' – these are some of the disciplinary statements of all religions. A student must be trustworthy, obedient, friendly and active in curricular and co- curricular activities. " Simple living, High thinking; Wear old coat, buy new book"- these all things show how a student must be.
But nowadays, young students are totally being out of discipline. They now march on streets with flames( whether it is for good or not) , take narcotic substances and drugs, consume alcohol and even are forgetting their own culture in the name of modernization. Many even insist and argue with their parents and don't even hesitate to smash the educational institutions( some even scold and put hands on the teacher).Discipline has made personas like Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Tulsimehar Shrestha, Jay Prithvi Bahadur Singh, Nelson Mandela, Pele, Kofi Annan, Mother Teresa, Florence Nightingale known to the world. Due to some sort of lack in discipline( inspite of their knowledge), persons like Osama Bin Laden, Dawood Ibrahim, Abu Salem, many Virappans exist in the world. Disciplined women like Aan Sang Schuki, Taslima Nasarin, are exemplary personality of this century. Not only in student life, discipline is essential everywhere ; at an office, at home,school, in sports,religion etcetera. Well disciplined and mannered persons are precious pearls of the society. Disciplined students are renowned , respected and liked by all. This student life comes once. Our good activities will shape our life. So, I urge all my friends to maintain discipline at home,school and elsewhere possible. Our small efforts can make Florences and Einsteins of tomorrow. So, student life must be quite a disciplined life and hence discipline is quite important for students.
